Job Description
The Project Specialist is responsible for collecting and storing data on sales numbers, market research and handling the day-to-day logistics for Civitas Strategies. This position would bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of all data pertaining to projects and business development. This data would also be processed, designed and presented in ways to help Civitas Strategies and Veridus, as a whole, where appropriate, make better decisions. Duties & Responsibilities Manages master data, including creation, updates, and deletion. Managing users and user roles within data sources. Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with Group Leader if necessary. Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets. Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines. Help develop reports and analysis Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources and security. Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements. Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization. Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems. Troubleshooting the reporting and database environment and reports. Training end users on new reports and dashboards. Manage the marketing collateral in coordination with Group Leader for the Community and Economic Development Group. Embraces company culture and works hard to foster connectivity among the Veridus Team. Models company culture in and out of the office. Responsive to clients and stakeholders, communicates effectively Team development/coordination/tracking/review Research/Due Diligence Exceeding client expectations Public Engagement when necessary Performs other duties as required Education, Skills and Experience Education Requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science or other related degree from an accredited school. Experience Work experience as a data analyst or in related field. Skills Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks. Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations. Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms. High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing databases. Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Regular travel to project sites, meetings, and conferences is required to support project oversight and client coordination, primarily consisting of same-day travel within the state. The employee must be able to travel between locations and safely operate a motor vehicle as part of these responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
