JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Gibsland Bank and Trust Branch Manager you will be responsible for maintaining an engaged, operationally sound, and high performing team dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers as well as the continued success of your branch. You will report to the Caddo Parish Market President. You will function as a loan officer and will be able to perform the duties of the teller supervisor and customer service representative. As a Branch Manager you are responsible for leading, coaching and guiding your team of Tellers/Universal Bankers to achieve success and ensure all functions of the branch are accounted for at all times. You will be responsible for all branch loan and deposit goals. You will be responsible for working with various other Bank departments to ensure compliance with bank policies, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSILBILITES
The person in this position will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the branch. Duties will include but are not limited to: Supervision of Teller/Universal Bankers, including scheduling employees, approving transactions, assisting with balancing cash drawers and vault, opening new deposit accounts, assisting customers with initial loan application and with final loan documentation. Perform functions of loan officer, including recommending products and services for customers, accepting applications for consumer, small business, and commercial loans, and maintain a loan portfolio. Business Development - representing Gibsland Bank in surrounding area at community events and developing new or existing customer relationships. Ensure that branch staff follows GBT policies and procedures. Hands on day-to-day work in the Teller or Universal Banker area if required. This includes the knowledge to run a teller window, vault teller, opening new deposit accounts for customers if required. Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings and late afternoons.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Two (2) years of bank branch, sales, or sales management experience that demonstrate increased levels of responsibility and competency. Strong computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office products.
PREFERENCES
