We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of grant writing processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in advancing our mission through effective funding strategies. Responsibilities Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities and grant prospects. Write compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal development. Develop budgets and ensure financial information is accurately represented in proposals. Manage the entire grant application process, including submission deadlines and follow-ups. Maintain detailed records of grant applications, outcomes, and reporting requirements. Proofread and edit proposals to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines. Utilize databases such as Raiser's Edge for tracking grants and donor information. Participate in strategic planning sessions to align funding efforts with organizational priorities. Experience Proven experience in grant writing with a strong portfolio of successful proposals. Familiarity with databases and tools relevant to grant management and fundraising. Skills in technical writing, strategic planning, budgeting, contract management, and research. Excellent proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
