Job Summary Under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development & Alumni Engagement, the Director of Advancement Services provides strategic and administrative support to assist the university in achieving its philanthropic goals and provides a variety of centralized gift and endowment activities with oversight of the day-to-day operations of gift administration, compliance, and advancement services. The Director of Advancement Services supervises the Coordinator of Prospect and Donor Research and the Development Support Specialist positions. Gift Processing
Responsible for managing all donation and constituent data entry that facilitates accurate, confidential, and secure transaction processing in an effort to ensure the integrity of the database at all times. Oversees online giving through the Troy University Foundation, Blackbaud's CRM—Raiser's Edge/NXT platform, and other platforms. Serves as the primary liaison with Foundation Accounting in the facilitation of daily deposits, fund accounts, and annual auditing within Advancement Services. Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the progression of on-going fundraising programs/campaigns. In collaboration with the Office of Admissions, assists in the establishment of new scholarship funds, new foundation accounts, fundraising projects and capital campaigns. Oversees and administers the Foundation scholarship award program, coordinates scholarship awarding with appropriate scholarship committees, and prepares payment for each academic year of Foundation Scholarships. Provides information to donors and prospective donors regarding endowment funds and reports, restricted and unrestricted giving, scholarship establishment, stocks and gifts-in-kind, and matching gift companies. Provides donors with annual tax statements and donor endowment reports. Provides annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily fundraising reports to the AVC and other senior leadership, including deans and development officers, as requested by the AVC. Supervises donor recognition, donor acknowledgements, and pledge reminders. Database Management and Reporting
Responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, and compliance of all donor database software components including data entry and output, imports, clean up, data enrichment, technical issues, database training, creating and maintaining online donation and event registration forms, and subscription management. Lead data mining and analytics initiatives. Provides the development and alumni team with complete Raiser's Edge/NXT training that includes: database credentials and user rights, use of queries, exports, reports, constituent searches, constituent records and data placement, and specific training to development officers including actions and proposals, and opportunities. Extract information from the donor database to meet the reporting needs of development & alumni team by providing financial reports, constituent reports, and survey reports. Produce targeted mailing lists for solicitations, invitations, etc. for the development & alumni team and other university staff as approved by the AVC. Ensure and maintain compliance with financial management policies and practices, federal regulatory requirements, and conforming to CASE standards. Prospect Management
Establish, implement, and supervise the system of prospect identification, qualification, solicitations, stewardship, along with prospect research and prospect tracking/reporting. Ensure all development officers have effective tracking systems to support the progression and success of their respective donor portfolio and pipeline. Develop and analyze prospective donor lists for prospect identification and solicitor assignments. Provide leadership to the the Coordinator of Prospect and Donor Research in designing and implementing prospect protocols, standards, and procedures for tracking and reporting development officer fundraising activities and results. Provide the AVC with forecasting reports, prospect progression reports, contact reports, proposal analysis reports, prospect ratings, and new identified prospect pool screenings. Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in a related field

10. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge/NXT or other CRM platforms
2. Knowledge of charitable giving policies and procedures pertaining to CASE and IRS rules and regulations around charitable contributions
3. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
4. Ability to work well under deadlines and manage details of several concurrent projects with close attention to detail
