Job Description

Experienced Employee Development Specialist Company:
The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Apprenticeship team is currently seeking an Experienced Employee Development Specialist - Assembly/Modifications to join our Production System Training (PST) Midwest (MW) team in Florissant, MO. The BDS Apprenticeship team is responsible for the delivery of Technical Learning Solutions for the Fabrication, Assembly, and Delivery of Aircraft and other Aerospace Products. As an Employee Development Specialist within PST MW Delivery, you will handle a diverse range of responsibilities to assist our Production Operations and Quality Business Partners.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform as an instructor/facilitator/technical performance coach independently in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of expertise including but not limited to Aircraft Structures, Aircraft Mechanical, Aircraft Electrical, Aircraft Inspection, Aircraft Drawings, Aircraft Process Specifications, Military Technical Data, Electronic Work Instructions and Aircraft Composites Conduct learning using a variety of delivery methods, techniques and platforms Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide learning consultation services Provide extensive professional & technical assistance in both formal classroom and on-the-job learning. Render professional assistance to resolve difficult or unusual problems Facilitate work teams, providing necessary training, and leading problem resolution and process improvement Expand and enhance expertise in various areas to ensure flexibility across the collective Statement of Work (SOW) Interpret regulations and standards, ensure delivery of learning align with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specifications Emphasize safety precautions to be taken as applicable Assist Functional Development by serving as a SME, as needed Edit existing solutions or create temporary solutions to meet a unique and/or urgent business need, as needed Able to travel up to 10% of work time, if needed Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience with aircraft system or structures design, development and production Experience performing aircraft structural and mechanical work Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment Experience reading and interpreting Technical Data Ability to travel up to 10% of work time Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Experience in Fighter Jet Structures procedures i.e. precision drilling, fastener installation/removal, bonding and grounding, torquing, safetying devices, etc. Experience transferring knowledge through formal or informal modes of training
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift. Support 2nd and 3rd shifts, as needed.
