Job Description The Early Childhood Support Specialist plays a key strategic support role in advancing multiple grant funded early childhood quality initiatives within the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC). This position contributes to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives by supporting project implementation. Ideal candidates bring a collaborative, team driven mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team based environment. Ideal candidates are proactive, reliable, and eager to grow professionally while contributing to high quality execution of early childhood quality improvement efforts.
Duties will include:
Provide navigation support for candidates pursuing the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential Process submissions for the Quality Assurance Report indicators with a team of reviewers Participate in project planning to streamline workflow processes Other duties as assigned. This position is classified as an on-site position located at the UMKC Volker campus. Hybrid or remote work options are not available for this position. This position is 100% grant funded and contingent on continued funding. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Experience in early childhood education Knowledge of CDA credentialing process Knowledge of the Missouri Professional Development Registry (MOPD) system Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $23.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
