Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Writer to join our team and drive our mission forward through compelling funding proposals. In this role, you will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, developing persuasive grant proposals, and managing the end-to-end grant application process. Your expertise in technical writing, strategic planning, and contract management will be essential to securing vital resources that support our programs and initiatives. Duties Conduct thorough research to identify suitable grants, foundations, and government funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals Develop clear, persuasive, and comprehensive grant proposals that meet funder guidelines and highlight program strengths Manage the entire proposal lifecycle, including planning, writing, editing, proofreading, and submission deadlines Maintain detailed records of grant applications, correspondence, and outcomes within databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data, develop budgets, and craft compelling narratives for proposals Prepare financial reports and progress updates for funded projects to ensure compliance with funder requirements Monitor contract terms and manage contractual documentation to ensure adherence to agreements and facilitate renewals or extensions Requirements Proven experience in grant proposal writing, fundraising, or related roles with a strong portfolio of successful applications Familiarity with contract management processes and the ability to interpret contractual language accurately Proficiency in databases such as Raiser's Edge or comparable donor management systems Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities and stay current on grant trends Strong technical writing skills with an eye for detail in editing and proofreading documents for clarity and accuracy Ability to develop budgets, financial reports, and strategic plans that align with organizational objectives Exceptional writing skills complemented by the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively Experience working with program development teams to craft compelling narratives that demonstrate impact Join us in shaping a future where innovative programs thrive through strategic funding efforts!
