Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Development Officer to lead our organization's fundraising and development efforts. This key leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our organization by driving growth, building strong relationships, and securing vital resources to support our mission and vision. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the Chief Development Officer will play a pivotal role in achieving our annual development goals and expanding our funding sources.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and manage all fundraising initiatives, including annual campaigns, capital campaigns, and special projects
  • Oversee grant development efforts, including identifying opportunities, writing proposals, and managing relationships with funders
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources
  • Coordinate and implement annual giving, planned giving, and community engagement programs
  • Identify new funding opportunities and develop strategies to diversify revenue streams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of development activities with organizational priorities
  • Monitor and report on fundraising performance and progress toward goals Requirements Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of high-level fund development management experience with demonstrated results Strong track record of successful fundraising, including major gifts, grants, and campaigns Preference to Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) Donor database management experience and familiarity with DonorPerfect software preferred Record of successfully developing and/or managing volunteers Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor management, and grant writing Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a development team Join our organization and be part of a collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to making a meaningful impact.
