Recruitment and Family Development Specialist I DCFCM • Diakon Permanency Services Mechanicsburg, PA Child/Youth Services Full Time, Varied
Hours/Pay Period:
75 Req # 10319 Diakon is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for recruiting, developing, and maintaining a robust network of resource families to meet the needs of children referred to or waiting for foster care or adoptive families. Performs a Public Relations function and assists in the design, development, and implementation of a marketing plan to increase public awareness of, and interest in Diakon Permanency Services. Works with Corporate Communications to develop, design and place advertisements in accordance with marketing plan; responds to interested family inquiries within 24 hours of initial inquiry. Deliver virtual and in-person presentations with the goal of inspiring and engaging audience to action including at events, information sessions, and resource family training.
Education/Training:
A Bachelor's Degree in human services normally required; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three (2) years' related experience normally required.
ADA:
Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
