Future growth opportunities may include engaging with prospects and donors. This position is located in North Canton, Ohio. Position Responsibilities Work with the team to draft grant proposals and letters to foundations and corporations, with an expected goal of at least $100,000 within the first year Assist the team in drafting donor progress and final reports Organize materials, including supporting resources and budgets, for submission Conduct research on prospects who may support NIHF's programs and mission Maintain comprehensive, accurate grant and donor files Maintain updated resources for the team to use Collaborate with the team to implement strategies to cultivate philanthropic partnerships in support of NIHF's K-12 education programs Increase the fundraising ability and public visibility of NIHF, its programs, and mission Effectively communicate NIHF's mission and programs to broad audiences Other duties, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong writing, verbal, and organizational skills Self-directed, performance-oriented individual who has demonstrated initiative and achievement of goals Proven proficiency with Microsoft Suite Office applications Ability to learn Salesforce and other donor-related databases Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing priorities, while adhering to deadlines Adept communicator who can effectively represent NIHF Proven research and analytical capabilities Detail-oriented Capability to work with multiple team members and departments on projects Credentials and Experience Bachelor's degree Proven experience with grant writing, preferably through successful grant applications or grant certificates/courses Familiarity with CRM software and grant databases a plus 2-3 years of experience in nonprofits/development a plus Special Requirements Writing samples will be requested Why Join the National Inventors Hall of Fame?
