Part-time (30 hours/week) About Us The English Empowerment Center (EEC) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization providing adult literacy and workforce readiness programs to immigrant and underserved communities. We are growing and seeking an experienced Grant Writer to expand our fundraising and grant development efforts. Position Overview The Grant Writer is responsible for grant research, proposal writing, grant management, and reporting . This role supports nonprofit fundraising by securing funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies . Ideal candidates have a strong background in nonprofit development, grant writing, and proposal development . Key Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities (foundation grants, corporate grants, government grants) Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, LOIs, and reports Manage the full grant lifecycle: prospecting, application, submission, and reporting Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and funding outcomes Maintain grant calendars and donor/funder records Collaborate with leadership on fundraising strategy and development initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or fundraising Proven track record of successful grant proposals and funding awards Strong skills in proposal writing, editing, and storytelling Experience with foundation, corporate, and government grants Excellent organizational and project management skills Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Experience in nonprofit, education, or workforce development sectors Familiarity with donor databases (Donor Perfect preferred) or CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance
