Job Description

Description of Job Duty:
Provide developmentally appropriate activities and child specific guidance for children and families in middle Tennessee throughout the Upper Cumberland., Collect data and enter service logs and contact notes in a statewide database in a timely manner. Update child data in a timely manner for 6 month and annual meetings. Maintain and establish relationships with families and other designated service providers including Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). Attend required meetings, staff training, and conferences as required that will, at times, include overnight travel. Work as a team with other developmental therapists, senior developmental therapist and director to provide developmentally appropriate and evidence-based early intervention services. Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold a baccalaureate and/or master's and/or doctorate degree from an accredited institution in early childhood special education, early childhood education, child, and family studies (child development), early intervention, deaf education or visual disabilities, special education K-12, elementary education, communication disorders, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or related field. Related field can include, but is not limited to, degree in social work, nursing, psychology, education administration, or sociology. Related field degrees require a minimum of one (1) year documented experience working with children with disabilities 0-5 years of age and their families. This requirement does not apply to Grantee staff who provided these services prior to July 1, 2014.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (Child Development), Early Intervention, or related field. Experience working with children birth to 5 years of age. Experience working in an early intervention program. Three years of administrative experience.

Travel to Upper Cumberland counties.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands would be consistent with any regular office environment or childcare setting.
Work Hours:
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Level P2, Grade 9.
