Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Contract $20 - $50 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Community partnership development Research Economic development Organizational skills Budget preparation Workforce development Grant budget preparation Full Job Description Grant Writer / Workforce Development Consultant New Apprenticeship Training Institute - South Texas A new nonprofit skilled craft training institute is seeking an experienced Grant Writer / Workforce Development Consultant to assist with securing public and private funding opportunities for skilled trades training programs. This position will help develop funding strategies for apprenticeship, workforce development, construction industry training, and educational initiatives focused on preparing the next generation of multi craft construction workers in South Texas. Position Type Contract / Consultant Part-Time to Start Remote or Hybrid Possible Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities Assist with nonprofit funding strategy and grant readiness Prepare and submit grant applications Develop grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documents Coordinate with institute leadership, contractors, and community partners Assist with workforce development and apprenticeship-related funding opportunities Help establish relationships with foundations, government agencies, and industry partners Track deadlines and reporting requirements Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly preferred: Workforce development grants Registered apprenticeship programs Skilled trades or construction industry programs Nonprofit grant writing Department of Labor grants Texas Workforce Commission funding Educational or training institution funding Economic development initiatives Qualifications Proven grant writing experience Strong writing and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Experience preparing budgets and supporting documentation Familiarity with nonprofit and public-sector funding processes Preferred Qualifications Experience working with apprenticeship programs, or trade schools Knowledge of construction industry workforce needs Existing relationships within workforce development or grant funding sectors Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and scope of services.
