DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Writing tasks include, but are not limited to: Research current relevant grant opportunities to include private and public funding sources at the local, regional and national levels. Maintain and regularly update the grant calendar, ensuring it includes donor contact information, submission deadlines, and all pertinent details required for successful grant applications. Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop a written grant strategy including theme, major threads, budget, and activities. Assist with the completion of grant usage reports and other grant reporting requirements as needed. Assist with grant narratives. In conjunction with the ED complete and submit grant applications. Perform weekly maintenance and updates to ensure the grant database remains accurate, complete, and up to date. Provide administrative and clerical support for grant-related activities, including documentation, correspondence, and record management. Generate grant-related thank-you letters for contributions Perform special event duties, as assigned by the Executive Director. Organize and maintain filing systems. Maintain proper boundaries and keep all activities/calls/visitors, etc., confidential as per program policy. Any duties deemed necessary by the FPO Executive Director.
MINIMUM CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in technical writing or business administration, or equivalent business experience. Excellent English communication skills-both verbal and written. Well-organized, high attention-to-detail, goal oriented. High working knowledge and proficiency utilizing PC based tools (Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Must be able to create and track data using PC based tools (Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, error free, in a fast-paced environment.
