Job Description

The Office of Advancement Services maintains an accurate database of alumni, friends and other stakeholders of Salt Lake Community College. The office is responsible for prospect research, prospect management and the recording and receipting of gifts. This is a day-time position with flexible hours between 8:00 and - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. This position allows students an opportunity to develop "resume-building" data management skills, learn problem solving, work within a team environment, and develop organizational skills.

Good written and oral communication skillsTyping speed of 65 wpmAbility to handle a number of different projects simultaneously while maintaining a consistent attention to detailStudent must be self-directed, have ability to learn administrative software programs (Banner, Etrieve, Teams, Raiser's Edge)Experience working with Microsoft Office ExcelCommunication skills - written and verbalMaintain confidentiality of Salt Lake Community College recordsAbility to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, abilities, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.

Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities. High school diploma or equivalent. GPA 2.0 Eligible for Federal Work Study program Database experience
