The ideal candidate has lived recovery experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others build meaningful and lasting recovery. This position plays an important role in providing peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and mentorship throughout the treatment process. Responsibilities Provide peer support services and recovery mentorship to clients Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and motivation Facilitate peer support groups and recovery-focused activities Assist clients with goal setting, coping skills, and wellness planning Encourage participation in treatment, meetings, and recovery programming Support clients with community resources and reintegration planning Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, case managers, and the treatment team Help create a positive, safe, and recovery-oriented environment Qualifications Active Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification required Personal recovery experience preferred Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or peer support preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer and documentation skills Valid driver's license preferred Benefits Eligible full-time employees receive: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Leave Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment Meaningful work making a difference in the lives of others Schedule Day Shift Evening Shift Weekends as needed Holidays as needed
