Countertop Fabrication & Installation Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead the daily operations of a growing counter-top fabrication and installation company. This individual will oversee production, operations, scheduling, customer experience, departmental accountability, and overall business performance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced production or construction-related environment. This role requires someone who can balance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, team accountability, and company profitability while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day company operations including fabrication, installation, templating, scheduling, production, and customer service. Ensure projects move efficiently from sales through final installation. Monitor workflow, production schedules, and departmental coordination. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements. Maintain accountability across all departments. Team Management Lead, manage, and develop department managers and staff. Establish performance expectations and maintain accountability. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of professionalism, ownership, communication, and continuous improvement. Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives. Production & Quality Control Ensure fabrication and installation quality standards are consistently met. Monitor production efficiency, remakes, field issues, and customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain SOPs and operational procedures. Coordinate with technical and production departments to improve workflow consistency and accuracy. Financial & Business Performance Monitor operational costs, labor efficiency, and departmental performance. Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Drive profitability through operational efficiency and process improvement. Review KPIs and operational metrics to improve company performance. Customer Experience Ensure a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in resolving escalated customer concerns and service issues. Maintain strong communication standards between office staff, production teams, and customers. Qualifications Previous management or leadership experience in countertop fabrication, cabinetry, millwork, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry preferred. Strong operational and organizational management skills. Experience managing production teams and multiple departments. Ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with scheduling, workflow management, and operational accountability. Knowledge of fabrication processes, CNC operations, templating, or installation workflows is strongly preferred. Ability to analyze processes and implement operational improvements.
