Job Description

VP of Accounting
LOCATION
Scottsdale, AZ Hybrid TYPE Direct Hire SALARY $150,000 - $170,000 / yr ID AZ107-2755440 POSTED Jun 8, 2026 VP of Accounting — Build the Finance Function. Become the CFO. $160,000-$170,000 base + bonus If you're a senior accounting leader ready to stop optimizing someone else's infrastructure and start building your own — this is the role. A growing multi-unit company is hiring a VP of Accounting to own everything financial: accounting operations, financial planning, lender relationships, and the systems that tie it all together. You'll report directly to the CEO, sit on the leadership team, and work with a clear mandate — and a clear path — to the CFO seat as the company scales. What You'll Own From day one, you'll be the senior finance voice in the room.
That means hands-on accountability:
month-end close, cash flow management, payroll oversight, and establishing consistent accounting controls across all locations. On the strategic side, you'll build the company's financial model from the ground up — annual budgeting, location-level scorecards and dashboards, and board-ready reporting. You'll lead ERP selection and migration, manage lender relationships and covenant compliance, and own the annual audit. This isn't a maintenance role. It's a build role. Who You Are
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with real hands-on accounting operations chops
  • At least 2 years leading a team
  • Multi-unit location experience strongly preferred
  • CPA and ERP implementation experience required
  • You're wired to build yourself, you want ownership, not a job description Why This Opportunity Ground-floor access to a growing company.
Direct CEO relationship. A seat at the leadership table on day one. And if you execute, the CFO title is the natural next step — not a maybe.
