Job description:
Maintain a safe and efficient hotel operations, ensuring all departments stay brand-compliant and guest-ready. Keep a pulse on the bottom line by assisting with annual budgets and monitoring daily performance against financial goals. Conduct monthly financial reforecasts by analyzing trends and estimating line-by-line expenses with high accuracy. Effortlessly navigate financial reports and data to ensure the hotel remains profitable and meets all corporate review deadlines. Approach every interaction—whether with a guest or a teammate—with a genuine, warm, and service-oriented demeanor. Act as the primary point of contact for guest disputes, utilizing active listening and empathy to turn a "complaint" into a "loyal guest." Create an open-door environment where the concerns of associates and guests are heard, clarified, and resolved effectively. Drive associate retention by focusing on professional development, mentorship, and motivation. Ensure world-class training is happening in every department. You don't just point the way; you lead the orientation and coaching process to hit brand service standards. Convey complex ideas and information clearly, ensuring the entire team is aligned with the hotel's vision and daily goals. Quickly evaluate multiple courses of action and select the most effective path forward in a fast-paced environment. Bring the stamina required for a leadership role, including the flexibility to work long hours or weekends when the business demands it. Anticipate and "own" challenges before they escalate. You are the calm in the storm, maintaining total objectivity and composure during high-pressure situations. Work closely with the Sales team to pivot marketing strategies and pricing in real-time based on shifting market conditions. Maintain a deep understanding of department SOPs, enforcing policies with a fair, consistent, and transparent approach. Requirements Proven experience in assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple functions. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in Fosse, Power of M, cash handling, and inventory management software. Experience with sales management techniques. Knowledge of hotel operations or similar environments is preferred. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills coupled with time management expertise. Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
