$140,000 - $160,000 (+ equity) About the Company Our client is an early stage AI SaaS startup with the mission to empower CPG teams through simplifying how they bring products to our everyday lives. They are building the operating system for procurement in consumer packaged goods (CPG). In today's market, ingredient and packaging sourcing is slow, opaque, and costly. This client replaces that chaos with an AI-powered procurement platform that creates structure, visibility, and leverage. The product sits directly in existing supplier workflows and delivers immediate ROI. The co-founders of the business are repeat founders with exceptional experience building software in both CPG and procurement. They are backed by several investors and already have paying customers, real usage, and an incredible working product. The Role They are looking for a smart, humble, and hardworking operational candidate to be the Chief of Staff and serve as the CEO's righthand. They want someone who has a strong generalist and operational background that can own customer success, sales operations, recruiting, and internal systems, ultimately allowing the CEO to focus on closing deals and building the company. This opportunity will be based in Redwood City , and will operate 5-days a week onsite . This is an exceptional opportunity to learn from a successful founder and learn the ins and outs of a growing startup business. What You'll Do Running weekly customer check-ins and triaging customer issues across product and engineering Owning CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting, and preparing prospect briefings and demo materials for active deals Managing the recruiting pipeline - sourcing candidates, scheduling, and running first screens for non-executive roles Coordinating BDR stand-ups, reviewing outbound sequences, and flagging coaching opportunities to the CEO Building internal automations and AI-powered workflows to eliminate manual, repetitive work across the company
What They're Looking For Required:
2-8 years of working experience; preferably pre-MBA 1.5+ years at an MBB firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG) or top-tier investment banking Startup or operator experience post-consulting (Chief of Staff, founder, or early-stage operator roles strongly preferred) AI-native mindset - has active experience using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, or similar to automate and accelerate work Proven success operating in an unstructured, ambiguous, or early stage growth environment Nice to have: Comfortable with APIs, light scripting (Python/SQL), or no-code automation tools (ex. Zapier, n8n, Notion, etc.) B2B SaaS, supply chain, or CPG industry experience for understanding of the company needs
