The Vice President of Membership is a member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for driving council-wide membership growth through a strategic, sales-driven approach. This role owns the development and execution of a comprehensive membership business plan, leading all aspects of lead generation, conversion, and retention to achieve ambitious, measurable growth goals. The Vice President leads and develops a high-performing team while serving as a hands-on, visible leader who leads by example and is willing to engage directly in the work to ensure success. Success in this role will be defined by performance, ownership, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes. Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven volunteer-led membership growth strategy and annual business plan. Own and manage the full volunteer-led membership pipeline, including lead generation, tracking, conversion, and retention. Establish clear performance metrics and ensure consistent achievement of membership goals. Translate council and membership strategies into actionable membership plans, ensuring execution drives measurable growth outcomes. Lead and oversee the Regional Director, Placement Lead, and broader membership team, ensuring alignment and accountability. Build and sustain a high-performing, sales-driven culture focused on results, ownership, and continuous improvement. Analyze data, trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy and drive decision-making. Identify barriers to membership growth and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Partner with Marketing to develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns and outreach strategies. Oversee community engagement efforts that directly support membership growth and market expansion, while also reflecting the diversity of the community. Cultivate strategic partnerships with schools, community organizations, and key stakeholders to generate leads. Ensure effective collaboration across departments to support a seamless and high-quality member experience. Provide operational oversight of membership functions, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation. Serve as an active contributor on the Executive Leadership Team, supporting overall organizational strategy. Lead by example by maintaining a strong work ethic, supporting team efforts in the field as needed, and working evenings and/or weekends to achieve goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, membership growth, or related field. Highly driven, self-motivated leader with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding growth and revenue targets. History of progressive leadership advancement through career, indicating a track record increased responsibility in leading and developing high-performing, goal-oriented teams. Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop, communicate, and execute effective business plans. Highly data-driven with the ability to analyze metrics and translate insights into action. Deep understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and conversion strategies. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships within the community. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment with a high level of accountability. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to achieve organizational goals. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships across diverse communities.
