Full Job Description Position Summary:
At Elements Massage, we are passionate about our vision of Changing Lives through the powerful touch of massage. We are seeking an Assistant Studio Manager for our studio. This position is responsible for the sales success and wellbeing of the studio, clients, and sales staff. This person should be someone who can take our studio to the next level by motivating a sales team, leading by example, innovating to find unique solutions to grow, and translating business opportunities that have a positive and lasting impact on our greater wellness community!
Position Responsibilities:
Overall Objectives/Responsibilities, goals, expectations
  • You will still be on the WMA team; WMA duties are still expected from you and are to be prioritized above all else.
  • Consistently follows all steps in the KNOWETM and sales process resulting in a conversion rate of 40% or higher.
  • Help increase and maintain studio-wide and individual conversion rates, including your own. The goal for conversion is 40%. This includes monitoring metrics through MBO and RAD and following up with WMA and coaching where necessary. As a leader, you must continue to meet or exceed the individual conversion percentage goals.
  • Makes great first impressions, builds rapport, and identifies clients' needs resulting in membership sales.
  • Meets or exceeds the client's needs—Takes all opportunities to exceed client expectations without making unreasonable commitments.
  • Take pride and passion in resolving client problems/complaints/issues. Listens, empathizes, apologizes, and takes personal responsibility for resolving client issues.
  • Deals with escalations from WMA's relating to client queries/issues. Possessing the ability to de-escalate problems.
  • Facilities management - ensuring all guest areas are clean and presentable, safe, and ready for business. Letting the GM know when supplies are needed and assisting in restocking inventory.
  • Addressing emergency scheduling issues quickly and professionally.
  • Assist in the hiring, onboarding and training process where required.
  • Assist in conducting touch-bases with employees where needed.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients and coworkers when stressed by high client times and client/co‐worker complaints.
  • Develops appropriate strategies to cope with high-stress situations, such as multi-tasking, and the organization of work.
  • Actively participates in role‐playing, training and activities, meetings, and coaching.
  • Ensure all studio policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Work with management to implement and create programs to increase productivity and reach revenue goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Assists with reporting/spreadsheets(FAP's, Opps logs, Cancellations/Suspensions, Frequency calls etc), inventory/supplies, overall studio maintenance.
  • You will be involved in online training programs such as FPGs (Focused performance groups) and other company training events that may become available in the future.
  • Other duties, initiatives and projects as assigned by General Manager.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Education / Experience
  • Passion for the health and wellness industry
  • Sales/Membership focused individual, sales experience is required; membership sales experience preferred
  • Experience in a retail environment is preferred
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience preferred Core Competencies
  • Results-oriented and customer-centric approach
  • Must enjoy and be passionate about selling
  • Remains confident and calm under stress
  • Self-starter, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities (project management)
