The Chief of Staff is a vital member of the President's Cabinet, providing direct support to the President across calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting documentation. This leadership role emphasizes operational oversight, strategic advisory capacity, and institutional coordination, all integral in fulfilling the College's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to integrity, a passion for excellence, and the ability to navigate complex strategic issues.Essential Job Functions:
Executive Leadership & Office Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the President's Office, ensuring effective work flow and management of the office budget.Strategic Advisor:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the President, providing counsel on sensitive and strategic matters, and ensuring timely access to critical information for informed decision-making.Institutional Coordination:
Facilitate communication among the President, Cabinet, and campus leadership, supporting the development and implementation of key initiatives and strategic goals.Planning Liaison:
Act as the liaison between the President's Office and planning functions, ensuring alignment of executive priorities with operational implementation.Governmental Relations:
Support the President in monitoring legislative developments affecting the College and coordinate communications related to these matters.Board Relations:
Manage communications between the Advisory Council, local district boards, and the President's Office.Community Engagement:
Represent the College in community organizations, fostering relationships with local leaders and partners.Advancement Support:
Collaborate with the Office of Advancement on fundraising initiatives and donor engagement.Communication:
Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop executive-level messaging and assist with sensitive correspondence requiring discretion.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in an academic setting. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage complex projects and foster collaboration across departments. Demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical leadership.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
