Through a structured rotation program, the trainee will gain hands‑on experience in administration, estimating, utilities, grading, asphalt operations, and senior leadership activities. This position supports both office and field operations, contributing to the planning, coordination, and implementation of project‑specific tasks. The trainee will learn how projects are developed, bid, managed, and executed, building the skills needed for future leadership roles within the organization. In addition, the Trainee will perform each step of field operations to help gain firsthand experience that builds practical knowledge of execution (Ground operation, Equipment operation). This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable, and motivated to build a long‑term career in construction management. Department Rotations The Construction Management Trainee will spend dedicated time in each major department to understand workflows, responsibilities, and how each function contributes to successful project delivery. Administration — Learn documentation processes, project setup, compliance requirements, and internal communication workflows. Estimating — Assist with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, subcontractor outreach, and cost analysis. Utility Division — Support field crews, observe installation processes, and learn about safety and quality standards. Grading Division — Gain exposure to earthwork operations, equipment usage, production tracking, and site preparation. Asphalt Division — Participate in paving operations, plant coordination, quality control, and scheduling. Senior Leadership Shadowing — Observe strategic planning, project reviews, financial oversight, and leadership decision making. Project Support Responsibilities In addition to rotations, the trainee will assist with project specific tasks, including: Supporting project managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination. Assisting in the development and implementation of project specific plans, such as safety plans, company specific policy and procedures, or logistics planning. Tracking project progress, documenting field activities, and preparing reports. Participating in jobsite meetings and communicating with field teams. Helping identify process improvements and contributing to operational efficiency. Ensuring compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and project specifications. Skills & Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in both office and field environments. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Prior internship or field experience in construction. Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, or estimating software. Mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment operations. Program Structure & Growth Path Rotational program typically spans 18 months, depending on company needs and trainee performance. Upon completion, trainees may transition into roles such as: Office Manager Assistant Project Manager Estimator Operations Coordinator Work Environment Combination of office work and outdoor fieldwork. Exposure to active construction sites, weather conditions, and heavy equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate uneven terrain as needed. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions Ability to walk uneven terrain and work near heavy equipment Ability to lift [e.g., 25-50 lbs] as needed Early mornings, nights, or weekends depending on project schedules

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
