This position is responsible for advancing institutional priorities through the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and principal gift donors while overseeing key development initiatives. The Assistant Vice President serves as a senior member of the Advancement leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping and executing strategies that support the College¿s long-term philanthropic growth and external engagement. Responsibilities 1

• Provides strategic leadership for the College¿s major gifts and development initiatives aligned with institutional priorities. 2
• Partners with the Vice President and President on high-level donor strategy, engagement, and relationship management. 3
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major and principal gift prospects. 4
• Develops and oversees a comprehensive major gifts strategy and donor pipeline to support institutional fundraising goals. 5
• Assists in the planning and execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns and advancement initiatives. 6
• Supervises development staff and provides leadership, direction, and performance management. 7
• Supports Foundation and Board engagement, including preparation of materials and coordination of development-related activities. 8
• Represents the College with donors, alumni, community leaders, and external stakeholders and participates in donor engagement activities and institutional events. 9
• Collaborates with academic and administrative units to align fundraising priorities with institutional needs and ensures effective stewardship practices and adherence to advancement best practices; performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Baccalaureate degree in related field. Required Experience Minimum of 7¿10 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, advancement, or a related field. Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and managing donor relationships. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Experience in higher education or nonprofit advancement. Experience leading fundraising initiatives or capital campaigns. Experience supervising professional staff. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and advancement best practices. Knowledge of donor management systems and fundraising analytics.
