In this pivotal role, you will support the store's daily operations, lead sales initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize inventory management, and uphold store standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills while contributing to a vibrant shopping environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and possesses a passion for retail excellence. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead and supervise team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential Handle cash transactions, cashiering duties, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations with accuracy and integrity Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to foster a motivated team Manage scheduling, shift management, and time management to ensure optimal coverage during store hours Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities aligned with marketing plans Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within optical eye clinic. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, merchandising, inventory management, and store management software (POS systems) Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution Experience with recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and employee orientation Knowledge of retail sales techniques including marketing strategies and pricing tactics Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and inventory procedures Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Previous assistant manager experience preferred; supervisory experience essential Join us as an Assistant Manager if you're eager to lead a vibrant team while honing your management expertise!
