Pay:
$60,000.00- $70,000.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, social work, sociology or education preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to communicate verbally with individuals, in groups and conduct presentations with effective public speaking skills.
- Ability to create written materials, utilizing appropriate grammar, spelling and visual appeal.
- Must have good cognitive ability, organized thought process and accuracy in dealing with numbers, policies and have the ability to conduct analysis and logical presentation of data and materials.
- Must be able to utilize computer-based equipment and software appropriate to the positional requirements.
- Ability to transport oneself throughout the region to meet with groups and individuals.
- Ability to maneuver required equipment and supplies weighing thirty pounds in and out of buildings and vehicles.
Supervisory Relationship:
- The Executive Director is the administrative agent of the Corporation. She/He is responsible to the Board of Directors for the implementation of policies.
- In the performance of his/her duties, the Executive Director maintains a close working relationship with the board.
Administrative Duties:
- Responsible for administration and compliance with all laws and regulations affecting employment of agency staff, hourly and salaried. This includes but is not limited to: Equal Employment practices, Department of Labor, Fair Labor Standards Act, Immigration Laws, Family and Medical Leave Act and other laws regarding employment practices.
- Responsible for recommending and administering policies and guidelines affecting the employment relationship in compliance with laws and regulations, as well as best practices in employee relations.
- Directs the strategic planning process and ensures operational philosophy and focus of human resources.
- Supervises and coordinates all office procedures, programs and service development.
- Leads recruiting efforts to fulfill the mission of the corporation.
- Evaluates Fiscal/Administrative Assistant in job performance and serves as the next level of evaluation for other employees in the grievance process.
- Attends all regular meetings of the Board and serves as ex-officio member of the board.
- Assists the board and various committees in development of sound organizational policies, providing such information as they may require, bringing to their attention matters requiring policy clarification or revision.
- Plans and prepares budgets, grants, and other such documents as required by grantors.
- Manages fiscal procedures to assure best financial practices.
Planning and Program Duties:
- Maintains active and continuing interest in all projects and services of the corporation, and provides direction, coordination and supervision as indicated by goals and policies.
- Develops plans for future policies, funding and plans for expansion or modifications.
- Assists in planning of meetings, conferences, institutes, in-service training, workshops or conventions as needed or required by funding sources.
- Maintains agency position as clearinghouse for information for other groups of citizens.
- Participates in special studies, projects research activities as needed
Community Relations and Liaison Duties:
- Promotes and maintains relationships with local officials, agency heads, and other such personnel.
- Assists in promotion of community service and program development within the county.
- Promotes and maintains a working relationship with State and Federal agencies and staff relevant to the agency and general community development.
- Participates in community planning through membership in professional organizations,interagency committees, or community councils.
- Promotes cooperation with other organizations and agencies to promote non duplication and streamlining of available services through collaborative activities.
- Assumes leadership for increasing community awareness and understanding of HCCS and intended impact of service delivery.
- Assists in the fundraising efforts.
- Assist the Board in documenting presentation of budgetary needs to funding agencies and institutions.
Pay:
$60,000.00- $70,000.
