Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and staff scheduling. Lead and supervise team members, providing training, coaching, and development to foster a high-performance culture. Manage employee orientation processes, conduct interviews, and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team. Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining high standards for cashiering, phone etiquette, and customer interactions. Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales opportunities. Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and manage store budgets to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting; monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts. Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones while promoting store offerings. Maintain organized records of all store activities including sales reports, incident reports, and inventory logs. Qualifications Proven experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory retail role with demonstrated leadership skills. Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management techniques, and inventory management systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster positive customer relationships. Proficiency in managing POS systems, payroll software, bookkeeping tools, and basic accounting principles. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Experience with merchandising, purchasing, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives. Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cashiering duties confidently. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development programs, and supervising staff members. Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
