Job Description

Executive Director The University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) invitesapplications and nominations for a visionary Executive Director to lead the organization through a pivotal chapter of strategic reimagining.

At a defining moment when educational leadership must evolve to meet rapid sociopolitical shifts and an intensifying need forequity-centered approaches, UCEA seeks an intellectual and operational steward to guide its mission of advancing the field. As thepremier professional organization representing 114 colleges and universities globally, UCEA serves as a vital convening body for scholars,practitioners, and policymakers. The incoming leader will work in close partnership with the Executive Committee and a nationally dispersedmembership to balance the demands of governance, fiscal stewardship, and public representation while remaining grounded in a commitment toresearch, professional development, and policy engagement. The ideal candidate will possess an earned doctorate, preferably ineducational administration, and demonstrate abilities to manage a budget, raise funds, show interest and deep engagement with research,mentorship, and the preparation of future educational leaders. Beyond administrative and financial acumen, UCEA is looking for a championfor equity, who can build programs and inclusive communities across disciplinary and institutional lines.
