Job Description

The Assistant General Manager in Training role is an advanced development position focused on preparing leaders to serve as the Assistant General Manager of a Mister Car Wash location. In this role, you will refine your operational leadership capabilities while taking on greater responsibility for team performance, training, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will partner closely with the Certified Trainer to learn how to lead an entire team, run efficient shifts, analyze performance data, and make operational adjustments that drive results. Training includes deeper exposure to team development, performance, staffing and recruitment, employee relations, and operational excellence. This role is designed to build the confidence, judgment, and business acumen necessary to step into the Assistant General Manager role and prepare for future promotion to General Manager. Job Responsibilities Perform Daily Store Operations
  • Assist with all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Uphold quality, speed, throughput, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Participate in basic preventative maintenance activities and learn to collaborate with the Maintenance Team.
  • Gain hands-on experience ensuring operational consistency, team development, and business performance. Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
  • Excel in company service standards and model excellent customer interactions.
  • Learn to support Guest Service Specialists in creating a positive, memorable customer experience.
  • Practice handling escalated customer service issues, including responding to vehicle damage claims.
  • Model exceptional service during all customer interactions, including selling Unlimited Wash Club memberships. Build Leadership Competencies
  • Develop skills in coaching and motivating team members.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new hires.
  • Participate in interviewing and people selection to build a strong team.
  • Learn to communicate clearly, lead team huddles, and assist with store meetings. Learn Management Practices
  • Practice creating balanced employee schedules focused on volume demand and team preferences.
  • Learn decision-making approaches that support cost control, revenue growth, and key performance metrics.
  • Complete e-learning courses in Mister Learn as part of the OLP curriculum. Minimum requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager highly desired.
  • Internal candidates must have completed Track I of the OLP.

Strong operational knowledge of high-volume service or retail environments, including Mister Car Wash's business model, systems, and customer experience standards. Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members for growth and promotion. Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly convey expectations, provide meaningful feedback, and explain the why behind decisions. Resilient and adaptable, able to stay calm under pressure and adjust to changing priorities, technologies, and environments. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage competing demands in dynamic, high-volume settings. High level of professionalism in dress, grooming, communication, and actions, with a strong work ethic and commitment to self-improvement. Willing and eager to work in an outdoor, fast-paced environment across varying weather conditions.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
