Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team! The Assistant manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, employee performance, inventory accuracy, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Duties Assist in supervising employees, onboarding and training staff, providing coaching and feedback, enforcing company policies, and serving as Manager on Duty when assigned. Assist with employee scheduling, staffing coverage, attendance tracking, and labor management. Ensure exceptional customer service, assist with escalated concerns, support Budtender, and promote costumer retention initiatives. Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy, oversee daily counts, monitor discrepancies, verify product placement and labeling, assist with audits, and ensure adherence to inventory control procedures. Ensure compliance with Michigan CRA regulations, support inspections and audits, monitor ID verification procedures, and assist with store security and loss prevention. Assist with opening and closing procedure, maintain facility organization and cleanliness, monitor cash handling procedures, support merchandising and promotions, and assist with operational reporting. Maintain training and compliance records, support operational reporting, facilitate communication between management and staff, and assist with process improvements. Skills Strong leadership with proven assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail settings Excellent communication skills Skilled in negotiation, sales management, and customer service excellence Proficient in retail math, budgeting, inventory management, and POS systems Adept at employee orientation, training & development to foster team growth Knowledge of merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, and store presentation standards Capable of managing time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment Experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous Demonstrates organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and cash handling Strong interpersonal skills with phone etiquette and customer engagement expertise Ability to lead by example in store management practices including shift management and retail math calculations Join us as an Assistant Manager where your energy fuels our success!
