Position Summary The Assistant Manager provides operational and administrative support in the absence of or at the direction of the Store Manager. This role ensures customers receive quality products and excellent service while maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Store Manager, General Manager, Sales Associates, Home Office Personnel, vendors, and customers to ensure daily operations run smoothly and in accordance with Trexcon policies and procedures. Store Manager:
  • Ensure all activities conform to Trexcon policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members
  • React productively to change and remain flexible in daily routines
  • Support and reflect the Mission Statement and Core Values of Trexcon
  • Provide fast, friendly customer service
  • Finalize daily paperwork
  • Interview and hire potential employees
  • Discipline and dismiss Sales Associates when necessary
  • Develop work schedules while maintaining total hours at or below budgeted hours
  • Organize and oversee training of new employees
  • Read and respond to emails, text messages, and intra-office communications daily
  • Reconcile Sales Associate time punches and payroll reports; submit to the Home Office per policy
  • Order products from approved vendors
  • Track daily fuel sales and inventory
  • Communicate with Home Office Personnel regarding procedural matters
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department regarding repairs
  • Ensure the building and gas dispensers remain clean and in proper working order
  • Organize and conduct regular store meetings
  • Attend management team meetings
