Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team! In this vital leadership role, you will oversee daily store operations, motivate and guide staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help drive sales, manage inventory, and foster a positive team environment. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies Lead and supervise staff by providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance performance Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales potential Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to ensure high satisfaction levels Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting accuracy Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with budgeting to optimize store profitability Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost sales and brand visibility Supervise shift management, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining excellent customer service standards Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail environment is required Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases Excellent communication skills coupled with organizational expertise in managing schedules and administrative tasks Familiarity with grocery store operations or similar retail sectors is advantageous Prior experience in recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and employee orientation is preferred Join us to lead a motivated team in delivering outstanding retail experiences!
