Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team and help drive the success of our retail operations. In this role, you will support store management in overseeing daily activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth store operations. Your leadership will inspire team members, optimize sales performance, and uphold high standards of organization and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong management skills to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service functions Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees Supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing workforce Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and security Manage inventory levels through stock management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and purchasing decisions Ensure compliance with company policies on payroll, bookkeeping, budgeting, and store procedures Lead shift management activities to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency Promote a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards Skills Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail or grocery environments Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, staff, and vendors in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual capabilities are a plus) Skilled in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, and retail math to maximize profitability Proficient in inventory management systems, POS technology, cash handling procedures, and retail math principles Ability to train staff on employee orientation, customer service excellence, and store policies Organizational skills to handle bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks efficiently Experience with marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store traffic and sales growth Join us as an Assistant Manager if you're passionate about leading teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving retail success.
