  • Full-time Store Vision Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a fun place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO.
We facilitate this by providing excellent customer service, a variety of unique products, and an enjoyable environment. We aim to be the premier location for our local LEGO community. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a growing franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. We are a buy, sell, trade store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attending to customers in a sales capacity while also carrying out a variety of shared retail activities required for daily operation. Also responsible for actively participating in strategic and management initiatives and, in the absence of the General Manager, overseeing daily operations of the business.
HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver results by prioritizing time and effort, going beyond goals set by others, and finding motivation in raising store performance to the maximum. In the absence of the General Manager, running day-to-day operations such as opening and closing the store, inventory management, staff management, conflict resolution. Contribute to an atmosphere that balances a friendly feel with professionalism Greeting, assisting, and engaging with customers when they enter the store and as they shop, answering questions and making recommendations, assisting customers with check-out, and maintaining a positive, fun, and safe environment Leading by example with a high level of accountability and inspiring teamwork Maintaining sales floor and customer awareness to prevent product loss
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
25% Assisting customers in person and on the phone (requires a lot of standing) 15% Supporting and training colleagues 15% Supporting the General Manager in creating and implementing policies, procedures, and systems 10% Overseeing and participating in store opening and closing activities 10% Preparing product (sorting, cleaning, building, repairing, packaging, and inventorying) 10% Handling customer trading and selling activities 5% Keeping product shelves replenished and organized (requires lifting up to 50 pounds) 5% Supporting hosted and un-hosted in-store party events 5% Assisting with marketing and social media campaigns
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Excellent oral and written English communication
  • Ability to be welcoming and approachable
  • Highly organized with good quantitative abilities and attention to detail
  • Able to consistently use good judgment in making business decision both big and small
  • A strong desire to learn what needs to be done to successfully operate a small business
  • Able to resolve conflict professionally to problem solve
Preferred:
Familiar with LEGO product and themes
    Preferred:
    2+ years of experience in customer service and/or a supervisory capacity
      Preferred:
      Previous training or degree in sales and/or business management
        Preferred:
        Loss prevention and cash management experience
          Preferred:
          Experience with procurement and negotiation
            Preferred:
            Skilled with Word, Excel, Point-of-Sale systems

            • A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization
            PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
            • Physically able to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time
            COMPENSATION, PERKS AND SHIFTS
              Salary:
              $37,000 to $40,000 full-time. Quarterly bonuses are available based on individual and overall business performance. Paid vacation as per company policy.
