Job Description:
VP - Fund Accounting A leading global financial services organization is seeking an experienced fund accounting professional to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to oversee complex investment fund structures, manage client relationships, and lead accounting operations within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilitie s
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of general ledgers and supporting sub ledgers across multiple fund structures .
  • Review and prepare financial statements, partner capital statements, footnote disclosures, trial balances, and supporting workpapers .
  • Manage limited partner and general partner allocations, capital activity, and investor reporting deliverables .
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, leading meetings and maintaining strong long term relationships .
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and industry expertise to clients and internal stakeholders .
  • Participate in onboarding new fund mandates, client transitions, and implementation of fund structures within accounting platforms .
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including operations, financial reporting, tax, and investor services to ensure seamless service delivery .
  • Oversee external audit engagements and ensure timely completion of audit requirements .
  • Review partnership agreements, offering documents, and other governing fund materials to support accounting and reporting processes .
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, client service planning, and operational initiatives designed to improve efficiency and scalability .
  • Support process improvement efforts and participate in strategic business and technology enhancement projects .
  • Prepare and review ad hoc analyses and reports as needed . Qualificatio ns
  • 8+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, public accounting, or private accounting with exposure to alternative investment fund s.
  • Strong understanding of complex fund structures and associated accounting and reporting requirement s.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and alternative investment fund accounting principle s.
  • Experience reviewing and preparing financial statements, partnership allocations, and general ledger activit y.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and overseeing client relationship s.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detai l.
  • Experience participating in operational, technology, or process transformation initiatives is highly desirabl e.
  • Familiarity with investment accounting platforms such as Investran, Yardi, or similar systems is preferre d.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill s.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related disciplin e.
