This position is responsible for maximizing dealership profitability through finance and insurance product sales while ensuring every transaction is accurate, compliant, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. In addition to Finance & Insurance (F&I) responsibilities, the Business Manager oversees all title, registration, lien processing, and related documentation to ensure timely and accurate completion of motorcycle sales transactions. This role serves as a key partner to the Sales Department and collaborates closely with all dealership departments to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Finance & Insurance Operations Present and sell finance, insurance, extended service contracts, GAP protection, prepaid maintenance, and other value-added products to customers purchasing new and pre-owned motorcycles. Achieve and exceed departmental revenue, product penetration, and profitability goals. Utilize professional menu-selling techniques to ensure customers are fully informed of available protection and financing options. Structure financing solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to lender guidelines and dealership standards. Submit finance applications, secure lender approvals, and coordinate funding for all financed transactions. Maintain strong relationships with lending institutions, insurance providers, warranty administrators, and other business partners. Monitor production reports, product penetration metrics, and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Assist in forecasting finance income, product sales, and departmental performance on a monthly and annual basis. Maintain accurate records of finance sources, product providers, and lender programs. Stay current on industry trends, lending regulations, F&I best practices, and product knowledge through ongoing training and professional development. Title & Registration Administration Process and oversee all title, registration, lien, and ownership documentation for new and pre-owned vehicle sales. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted within required timelines. Review deals for accuracy, including taxes, fees, VIN information, title applications, payoff documentation, lien releases, and registration requirements. Coordinate with state agencies, customers, lenders, and third-party vendors to resolve title and registration issues. Maintain organized and compliant title records in accordance with state and federal regulations. Track outstanding titles, registrations, lien releases, and funding documentation to ensure timely completion. Serve as the dealership subject matter expert for title and registration procedures. Customer Experience Deliver a professional, transparent, and customer-focused purchasing experience. Clearly explain financing terms, protection products, and ownership documentation to customers. Build trust and long-term customer relationships through honest and ethical business practices. Address customer concerns and questions promptly and professionally. Support the dealership's commitment to creating a memorable delivery experience for every customer. Conduct follow-up communication to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future sales opportunities. Dealership Collaboration Partner closely with Motorcycle Sales, Parts, MotorClothes, Service, and Accounting departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Serve as the dealership resource for all matters related to financing, insurance products, and title administration. Support dealership promotions, events, and sales initiatives. Assist sales staff with deal structure, lender requirements, and financing opportunities. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, lender, and dealership requirements. Maintain complete and accurate deal jackets and transaction records. Protect customer information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations. Monitor business office processes and internal controls to reduce risk and maintain audit readiness. Ensure all disclosures, signatures, and required documentation are properly completed and retained. Maintain ethical standards in all customer interactions and business transactions. Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities Maintain a professional, organized, and efficient business office environment. Promote accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service throughout the dealership. Communicate new lender programs, finance products, promotions, and process changes to dealership personnel. Support dealership leadership in achieving overall sales and profitability goals. Lead by example through professionalism, attendance, integrity, and commitment to the dealership's core values. Qualifications Previous Finance & Insurance (F&I) experience in powersports, automotive, RV, marine, or related retail industries preferred. Experience processing titles, registrations, and vehicle ownership documentation preferred. Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills. Knowledge of lending practices, finance contracts, compliance requirements, and protection products. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with dealership management systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and other business software. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Physical Demands Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of computer equipment. Ability to occasionally move or assist in moving motorcycles weighing up to 800 pounds with proper equipment and assistance. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. Working Conditions Primarily performed in an office and dealership showroom environment. Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels common in a motorcycle dealership. May occasionally be exposed to fuel, cleaning chemicals, exhaust fumes, and other materials commonly found in dealership operations.
