Master the ERP. Help build the systems that drive a growing aerospace & defense manufacturer. Budde Precision is looking for a Controller / Business Systems Manager to take ownership of our accounting function, become the internal expert on our ERP system, and help build the financial and operational tools needed to support continued growth. We are not looking for someone to simply maintain the accounting function. We are looking for someone who wants to help build it. This role combines accounting leadership, ERP ownership, job costing, reporting, and process improvement. You'll work directly with the President and leadership team to improve visibility into business performance, develop meaningful job costing, increase ERP utilization, and provide the information needed to make better decisions. If you're looking for a narrowly defined accounting role where you own one small piece of the process, this probably isn't the right fit. If you're excited by the opportunity to understand how an entire manufacturing business operates, improve systems, develop reporting, become the ERP expert, and directly influence company decisions, we'd like to talk. About Budde Precision Budde Precision is a growing precision machining company serving aerospace, defense, and other demanding industries where quality, responsiveness, and technical capability matter. We specialize in complex machined components and support some of the most challenging manufacturing programs in the country. We're large enough to work on exciting projects and small enough that every employee can make a meaningful impact. At Budde Precision, talented people are given ownership, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow. They enjoy understanding how accounting, operations, inventory, labor, systems, and profitability all connect together. They're comfortable rolling up their sleeves, figuring things out, improving processes, and creating structure where it doesn't already exist. Most importantly, they want ownership and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the success of the business. Why Someone Leaves a Large Company for This Role At many larger organizations, accounting professionals spend years becoming experts in one narrow area—A/P, payroll, reporting, cost accounting, or financial analysis. This role is different. Here, you'll see how the entire business works. You'll work directly with ownership. You'll understand how jobs move through the shop, how customers are served, how profitability is created, and how decisions are made. You'll have the opportunity to improve systems, influence processes, and help shape the future direction of the company. Your work won't disappear into a corporate reporting structure. It will directly influence how the business operates. We expect the right person to become a key member of our management team and a trusted resource for both financial and operational decision-making.
