Cherry Ridge Retreat Assistant General Manager Job Posting Up to $20/hour + Tips + Performance Bonus + Profit Sharing + Company-Contributed 401(k) | Full-Time, Year-Round WorkNew Plymouth (Logan), Ohio - Hocking Hills Who We Are Cherry Ridge Retreat is a family-owned luxury cabin retreat located on 150 private acres in Ohio's Hocking Hills. We specialize in secluded getaways featuring private hot tubs, gourmet kitchens, luxury interiors, scenic hiking trails, and private fishing lakes. Our mission is to deliver an elevated guest experience through exceptional attention to detail, hospitality, and operational excellence. Who We're Looking For We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to help oversee daily operations of our upscale retreat. This role is well suited for someone who excels at staying organized, takes ownership of responsibilities, and serves as a key liaison between guests and staff. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and requires strong ownership, attentiveness, and availability. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Associate degree or equivalent experience Experience as an Office Manager, Property Manager, Assistant Manager, or General Manager preferred Minimum of 2 years of professional office or administrative experience required Prior hospitality experience preferred Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Strong sense of accountability and follow-through Proficient with computers, email, Microsoft Word & Excel, and online systems Comfortable using social media and internet-based tools Self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills Customer-service focused with a hospitality mindset Ability to maintain privacy, discretion, and confidentiality Job Responsibilities Daily Operations & Guest Experience Reservation processing and scheduling Phone and email correspondence Scheduling outside services and communicating w/ vendors Guest services, check-ins, and check-outs Hands-on involvement with cabins, including hot tubs, grills, and fire pits Housekeeping & Property Oversight Coordination and assistance with laundry services Collaboration with housekeeping staff Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and standards Quality control inspections of cabins and inventories Routine inspections of exterior maintenance and landscaping Team & Operations Support Staff management and daily oversight Acting as the primary on-site point of contact when leadership is not present Identifying issues proactively and communicating next steps clearly Schedule & Availability Permanent, full-time position 30-40 hours per week (seasonally adjusted with higher hours during peak months) One full weekend off every other month Half-day Saturdays and Full Day Sundays Required Flexibility for family obligations and medical appointments approved by management Compensation & Benefits $15.50 - $20/hour based on experience Shared tips pool (averaging $1-$2/hour, paid biweekly) Employer-funded retirement benefits, including a company-contributed 401(k) and profit-sharing / pension plan Employees may contribute additionally, but employer contributions are made regardless of employee participation This role does not currently include paid vacation.
