Job Description

We are a busy, well-established truck repair shop dedicated to providing high-quality service, fast turnaround times, and exceptional customer care. We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for managing shop operations, leading staff, ensuring profitability, and maintaining high service standards. This role requires strong hands-on leadership, operational knowledge, and experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck repair industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily shop operations and workflow Manage and lead technicians, service advisors, and support staff Ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction Monitor financial performance through efficiency, productivity, cost controls Handle customer concerns and build long-term relationships Maintain inventory, vendor relationships, and parts ordering Maintain high standards for safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity Hire, train, and develop team members
Qualifications:
At least 3+ years of experience in a management role (automotive or truck repair preferred) Strong leadership and team-building skills Solid understanding of truck repair operations (mechanical, body and mobile) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage budgets and improve profitability Experience with shop management and estimating systems a plus Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure
