Position Summary:
The Department of Business in the School of Arts, Culture & Society at Messiah University invites applications for a term-tenure track faculty position in Business who will also serve as the Managing Director for the International Business Institute and the Executive Director of the Messiah Business Institute, beginning August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities:
The faculty member will teach four business courses per year in international business and courses related to the applicant's background (Economics or Finance preferred but not required). This position comes with a four-course release to serve as the Managing Director of the International Business Institute and the Messiah Business Institute. Administrative assistance is provided for both institutes. The position will require advising undergraduate international business and business majors, departmental service, and institutional service.
Qualifications:
The University's preference is a candidate who has a doctoral degree in Business, but a candidate with an MBA will still be strongly considered. Teaching at the collegiate level and/or professional experience is strongly preferred. Faculty rank will depend on the hire's qualifications and experience.
The Program:
Messiah University's Department of Business, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), is the largest department within the School of Arts, Culture and Society (www.messiah.edu/departments/business). The Department is home to seven undergraduate business majors and the International Business Institute and provides a collegial environment that supports high-quality teaching and scholarly work. Instruction for most undergraduate programs is delivered primarily in person, with occasional online courses.
