This position is 30 hours/week, with the goal of expanding to 40 hours/week as the ministry grows. Love In the Name of Christ Greater Arvada is a newly developing affiliate of Love INC National, a nearly 50-year-old movement serving 110+ regions in 29 states. Our mission is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ, operating under the model of Redemptive Compassion. Duties
BE THE CONNECTOR AND INVITER FOR LOVE INC GREATER ARVADA
Connect with area pastors, churches, church staff and volunteers with invitations to begin or expand their involvement in the Love INC ministry. Connect with community nonprofit organizations, businesses and government leaders, with the goal of increasing their awareness of Love INC and developing possible partnerships.
LEAD MINISTRY OPERATIONS
Launch the Connection Center by locating an effective office space, engaging volunteers, and setting up systems to manage daily activities. Hands-on support will be vital in the first stages until the volunteer network is well established and trained. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers. Evaluate ministry needs and resources, structuring volunteer responsibilities accordingly until it is possible to hire other paid staff.
OVERSEE FUNDRAISING AND FINANCES
Develop, implement, and help accomplish an annual fundraising plan, in conjunction with the Board of Directors. Work with the Finance Committee to oversee financial operations, risk management practices, and facility needs. Recommend yearly budgets for board approval in conjunction with the Board Treasurer, prudently managing resources within budget guidelines.
COORDINATE WITH THE LOCAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Advise and inform board members of ministry activity, issues, and accomplishments Monitor and evaluate ministry impact with the board, focusing on transformational change. Connect with Love INC National to advance skills, maintain a consistent implementation of the Love INC model, and learn from the experience of other Love INC affiliates. Qualifications Is committed to the Christian Church and its mandate to serve people with Christ's love; has a deep understanding and devotion to the Love INC mission Has a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management, social work, ministry, community development, or other relevant field Has at least five years' experience leading and managing staff, volunteers, and budget Is a team player who works well with a variety of people to build strong teams Demonstrates initiatie, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a development ministry environment Is an excellent communicator, in verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills Effectively manages multiple priorities from conception to implementation and evaluation Join us as we transform lives through unified, relational ministry as the body of Christ!
Pay:
