Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence across our retail location. In this pivotal role, you will support store management in overseeing daily operations, leading a motivated team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your energetic leadership will help foster a positive shopping environment, optimize sales performance, and maintain efficient store functions. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling. Lead and supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding processes to integrate new team members smoothly. Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and store presentation to maximize sales potential. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel. Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and inventory management to maintain accurate records and operational efficiency. Skills Strong leadership abilities with proven supervisory experience in retail or similar environments. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual proficiency is highly valued. Skilled in negotiation, sales management, and retail math to meet sales targets and optimize profitability. Proficient in POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling procedures, and retail software applications. Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and stock management. Ability to train staff effectively on customer service standards, cashiering procedures, and store policies. Well-organized with exceptional time management skills; capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of marketing strategies, promotional activities, and wireless sales (if applicable). Experience with budgeting, financial recordkeeping, and administrative tasks related to retail management. Bilingual or multilingual skills that enhance communication with diverse customer bases are preferred.
