Position Summary:
The PACS Analyst (PA) is responsible for planning,anizing, maintenance, and operation of CMC's imaging systems. The PA is also responsible for efficient operation of imaging systems and providing technical support to radiology staff and healthcare professionals. The PA must have a strong understanding of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine), RIS (Radiology Information System), IntelliSpace Systems, and other imaging related technologies, as well as experience in networking, server administration and database management. Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to PACS and Imaging Systems. Serves as a liaison between the providers, office managers and other applicable divisions in the areas of problem-solving, remedying of errors and discrepancies, and informational requests related to RIS and PACS. Develops, implements, and maintains positive working relationships and appropriate interactions with Physicians, various external agencies and personnel, variousmunityanizations and services within themunity in identifying and addressing various issues.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a Healthcare related field required. Master's Degree preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration:
PACS Administrator certification preferred.Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years' healthcare experience working directly with picture archiving andmunication systems required. A minimum of two (2) years of IT healthcare experience required. Experience with a variety of clinical imaging software systems in healthcare setting preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of specific Cerner experience preferred.Special Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to determine and delegate project tasks to the responsible employee, maintain progress status of employee. Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support inanization wide programs. Strong knowledge of project processes, quality control, costs, and other opportunities for maximizing project success. Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and overall project efficiency. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, allied health professionals, physicians, department heads, and members of executive leadership required. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with leadership colleagues, physicians, department heads, and members of the executive leadership. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer and PowerPoint required with samples presented if requested during interview. Demonstrates the skills andpetencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills,petency assessments, and performance evaluations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in the workplace. Capable of leading teams/facilitating groups, building consensus and garnering the highest confidence in professionalism and work product by leadership. Ability to work under pressure and balance manypeting priorities; highly responsive and solution/action oriented.
