Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The primary focus of this position is to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donor prospects as well as lead and manage the major gifts team. This individual serves as a key member of the Moves Management team and is accountable for an assigned share of the Foundation's annual fundraising goals. This person is responsible for communication, interaction, and development of strong relationships with Foundation and System management, staff, Board members, volunteers, financial advisors and community leaders to cultivate, enhance and secure future philanthropic gifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for leading and managing the major gift team for the Foundation. This includes hiring and performance measurements. Responsible for setting goals with the major gift officers and tracking metrics and objectives for achieving the Foundation's annual fundraising goals. Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major donors and prospects both independently and in concert with the Foundation President, Senior Vice President of Fundraising Development and other Foundation staff as needed. Serves as a key member of the Moves Management team Develops and provides leadership for significant fund raising projects in support of the system's strategic goals. Works closely with the Vice President of Prospect Research to ensure a consistent major gift pipeline, as well as collaborate on major gift portfolio management. Explores and recommends marketing and communication strategies targeted to prospective and current major gift donors. Works closely with the Director of Communications and other staff members to develop, implement, and ensure major gift materials are consistent and effective.
Administration and management responsibilities include:
Working with volunteers as needed to assist with major gifts programs, maintaining professional membership in trade association and professional societies. Ensures active identification and accomplishment of annual personal development goals.
EDUCATION
Bachelors Required Masters Preferred
EXPERIENCE 5
years, in the identification, solicitation, and acquisition of major gift fundraising. Required
