Mindy Thompson is seeking an experienced, professional, and highly motivated Dental Business Manager to help lead our growing private practice and support an exceptional patient experience in our new centrally located office near the Nashville Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to join Dr. Mindy Thompson, a well-established, relationship-focused dentist with nearly 30 years of experience, as the practice transitions into a beautiful new office and expanded location. Unlike large corporate dental offices, our practice is privately owned and built around personalized care, strong patient relationships, integrity, and a close-knit team culture. Our new office has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming, elevated experience for both patients and team members alike. We are looking for someone who is excited to help lead this transition and grow with the practice long-term. We are seeking a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong systems and team communication, and takes pride in helping a practice operate efficiently and successfully. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, financially minded, detail-oriented, and able to balance leadership, patient care, collections management, and business operations with professionalism and warmth.
Responsibilities Include:
Monitoring daily production, collections, accounts receivable, and overall business performance Taking ownership of insurance aging, outstanding claims, collections follow-up, and accounts receivable management Reviewing accounts receivable reports and helping improve office collection efficiency and profitability Managing patient balances, payment arrangements, financing coordination, and collections communication professionally and compassionately Posting insurance payments, EFTs, insurance checks, and patient payments accurately and efficiently Managing insurance claims, denials, appeals, resubmissions, and insurance follow-up Reviewing treatment estimates, financial arrangements, and patient financial responsibilities with confidence and professionalism Helping improve case acceptance and financial communication with patients Insurance verification and benefit breakdowns Supporting practice growth, daily production goals, and overall office efficiency Leading and supporting front office team members with professionalism, accountability, and positivity Assisting with team communication, workflow organization, and operational systems Monitoring employee timekeeping and reviewing time clock records Creating an outstanding patient experience from first contact through treatment completion Working closely with Dr. Thompson and the clinical team to support long-term practice goals Helping foster a positive, supportive, team-oriented office culture
Qualifications:
Previous dental office management experience required Strong understanding of dental insurance, billing, payment posting, treatment coordination, scheduling, accounts receivable, and collections management Strong financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate and support a team Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, adaptable, and solution-oriented Experience with dental software systems preferred
