Roofing Full Job Description General Manager Job Summary:
Legacy Construction is seeking a highly driven and experienced General Manager to lead and grow our El Paso operations. This is not a standard management position — this is an opportunity for a motivated operator to run a division with significant income potential and performance-based compensation. The ideal candidate will operate as the leader of the El Paso region, overseeing sales, production, customer satisfaction, subcontractor management, staffing, scheduling coordination, and overall profitability. This role is designed for someone who wants to build and run a business, not simply hold a job.
General Manager Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development Generate and close residential and commercial roofing/construction projects Develop referral relationships with insurance professionals, property managers, realtors, and referral partners Oversee and mentor sales staff Ensure sales goals and profit margin targets are achieved Assist in estimating, project scoping, and customer negotiations Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the El Paso division Manage project timelines, scheduling, and job quality Work with coordinator on subcontractors, crews, and suppliers Ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably Monitor production and maintain quality control standards Financial & Performance Management Manage division profitability and gross margins Review job costing and production reports Maintain collections and reduce outstanding receivables Work with ownership on budgeting, growth strategy, and operational improvements Leadership Hire, train, and manage office staff, project managers, and sales personnel Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and growth Represent Legacy Construction professionally within the community and industry
General Manager Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in roofing, restoration, construction, or related industry management Proven sales and leadership experience Strong understanding of job costing, margins, and operational management Experience using Xactimate Ability to manage subcontractors and field operations Strong communication and negotiation skills Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset Ability to lead and grow a team Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Preferred Qualifications Insurance restoration experience Existing industry relationships in the El Paso market Experience managing P&L and operations Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO),
