Orange County, TX Position Overview Orange County Building Materials (OCBM) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to support daily store operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure efficient operations, excellent customer experiences, and proper inventory management. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking and replenishment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and store security Oversee daily operational tasks and ensure compliance with company policies Assist in supervising and training staff as needed Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally Qualifications Previous retail or building materials experience preferred Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math and computer proficiency (POS systems, inventory tools) Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a warehouse/retail environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay or salary (based on experience) Opportunities for advancement Supportive team environment Additional benefits may be discussed during the hiring process
