Eagle Railcar Services, the nations largest railcar repair network, is seeking a select group of eager, motivated individuals to join our growing organization. Eagle is implementing a new management trainee program that will serve as a feeder for various management level positions within the company. This 10 to 12-month program will provide intense hands-on training in every department at the shop level. Eagle Railcar Services has 13 full-service railcar repair and maintenance facilities located in Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Kansas, and Texas. Management Trainee Skills Receive hands-on training in railcar repair & maintenance operations, including blast, paint, cleaning, valve rebuilds, mechanical repair, AAR training, NDT training, inspections, estimating, billing, etc. Learn various staff functions, including operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices affecting each phase of business. Meet performance goals and objectives set by upper management and determined upon accepting the position. Report on the progress of goals and objectives. Monitor performance progress with management and key trainers. Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance of departmental duties. Train in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and provide greater promotional opportunities Management Trainee Requirements Bachelors degree in a science, engineering, or related technical discipline. Willing to engage in hands-on training and hard work. Motivated toward career growth and learning. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Leadership skills.
