In this vital leadership role, you will support store management by overseeing daily store operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help foster a positive shopping environment, optimize sales performance, and maintain efficient inventory control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management expertise while contributing to a vibrant retail community. You will also be on a 30 day probation period to show us if you can be moved up to store Manager. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all staff are trained on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates, employee orientation, and onboarding new hires Coordinate scheduling shifts and manage payroll accuracy while ensuring optimal staffing levels for peak times Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost sales and enhance store visibility Maintain compliance with safety standards, manage cash handling procedures, and ensure store cleanliness and organization Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail environment, preferably in grocery or specialty stores Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and team management Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures Experience with POS systems, inventory management tools, merchandising techniques, and retail sales strategies Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently and foster a collaborative work environment Prior experience in training & development programs along with supervisory experience in managing shift operations Join us as an Assistant Manager where your leadership will inspire teams to excel!
